The Samurai Noodle, It is a noodle showdown!!
Neighborhood: International District [still in Uwajimaya building but not inside it]
606 5th Ave S
Seattle, WA 98138

I am speechless about this place. The ramen is good!! Let me repeat it once more… IT’S GOOD!! I cannot hold myself back. If you come to Seattle, this is the place you are looking for ramen house. Please don’t compare this ramen with noodle from Chinese restaurant like Henry’s Bento beef noodle. It is completely different. What I am trying to tell here is Japanese style noodle. There is not much ramen house in Seattle. What makes it so good? Well you could see from the picture the broth is so thick and tasteful. The pork meat is big and do not forget the portion, it is pretty big. I recommended just trying the ramen menu and with a bit extra charge you could get “samurai armor.” [It is an additional of meat, egg, and seaweed].
- Tonkotsu Ramen
- Shoyu Ramen
Tips:
- If you park at the uwajimaya, you could ask parking validation at samurai noodle too. Just ask the cashier.
- Ask the cashier to give you stamp. Every time you eat 12 bowls of ramen, you deserve 1 free bowl of ramen.
Taste: 4/5
So far this is the best ramen noodle I ever had. I won’t say much, just try it. Too bad, there is not much variation on the menu.
Price Range: 3/5
It is standard but I guess it is more worth if you add samurai armor.
Place: 3/5
The place really small but it is clean.
Service: 3/5
The service is standard. The waitress will bring your food, refill your drink and clean up your table. 8-10$
Serving Quickness: 4/5
Fast. I recommended when you are in hurry.

Personally, I like FuLin’s ramen better. I have lived in Japan for four years — one year as an exchange student where i lived with a family that owned a ramen shop. For me, Miso ramen is the best and Samurai does not offer it. The portions have seemed small to me too.

They have offer miso ramen right now ! Try it ! I admitted the price of a bowl of ramen kinda expensive.
